On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Rajapruk University was honored by Mr. Suthee Thongyam, Governor of Nonthaburi Province to open the Nonthaburi Durian Conservation Center at Rajapruk University, located at no. 9, Bang Khanun Subdistrict, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province. The center is organized as a garden to grow nine traditional species of durian from Nonthaburi, including Kan Yao, Monthong, Med Nai Yai Prang, Yam Mawad, Kob Suwan, Kob Chai Nam, Kradum, Luang, and the Kratuay Nua Khao species. This is to conserve durian species in Nonthaburi Province as a learning resource for students and the public to study further.
